1. Orientation

GeoMap Server is available to optimize allocation of graph resource and teamwork to achieve combination of resource management and application and outcome sharing.

GeoMap Server is wildly applied by the oil field staff of graph plotting, research and management.

2. Target

GeoMap Server targets on plotting resource management, rapid and standardize plotting, and teamwork to improve efficiency, quality, resource sharing, and reduce repeatability, form positive cycle of outcome application and accumulation, build up plotting teamwork platform.

3. Functions

3.1 Field Management

Manage geographical coordinate, project and other basic information of exploration area, basin area and oil field. Field is a basic unit of final graph, general layer, data files, and database.

3.2 Catalogue Management

Root catalogue will be built default when user creates a new district. All the resource relates to the district will be stored in the root and automatically built sub catalogue.

Catalogue Management refers to two parts: public catalogue management and various resource catalogue management. Public Catalogue Management helps users to build up various resource catalogues as template in a convenient way.

3.3 Outcome Management

Outcome includes existed graph and public layer etc. In addition, these resources aim to sharing and reuse. 

Outcome Management includes uploading, sorting, audit, query, and browse, downloading.

3.4 Template Management

Template has two types: graph template and layer template. Graph template refers to layer types, orders, and basic layers of the certain graphs. Layer template refers to pixel types and styles information of the layer. Moreover, graph template and layer template is available to direct format from GeoMap Server outcome graph and customize parameter.

Through template to realize normative, standardize and unified plotting. Template Management includes upload, sorting, editing, and downloading.

GeoMap Server is available to download templates and data to create graph.

3.5 Data Management

Data refers to well location, seismic line, district range, boundary, geologic features and geographical coordinates. Through data structure management and mapping function to ensure the accuracy and uniqueness.

Data Management includes structure definition of data management, data importing/ editing/ searching/ downloading.

3.6 System Management

System Management refers to basic information management and user authorization control, which includes role management, user management, user authorization management, role setting, district allocation, password modification, maintenance of coordinate system and log management. 

4. Features

4.1 Integrated Resource Management

The system is available to catalogue, audit, authorize and publish graph resources, and graph resources (chart, layer, data and template) sorts by district units.

4.2 Standard Template

Template (chart/layer) formatting is in comply with SY/T5615-2004 and Q/SY 124-2005, and combines with the need of customers.

Through “data+ template= chart” mapping mode to reduce pixel editing workload and improve the graph quality.

Through specified scale, paper size, chart type to invoke template.

4.3 Synergetic Plotting Environment

GeoMap Server and GeoMap connect seamlessly, GeoMap Server provides GeoMap with resources, GeoMap submits new resource to GeoMapServer database.

Connecting with GeoMap Server, GeoMap creates a new graph by download-exited graph from GeoMap Server to avoid repetitive work and reuse resources unlimitedly.

Connecting with GeoMap Server, GeoMap downloads data from GeoMap Server database and then creates a new graph by”data + template = chart”mapping mode.
